Contact us using the SignVideo interpreting service

If you can't find the answer to your question on this site – or if you want to contact us for any other reason – then there are lots of ways you can get in touch quickly and easily, including the SignVideo interpreting service.

If you use British Sign Language (BSL) and you’re a BT customer, you can get in touch with us using BSL and a webcam. To see how, follow the steps below – or watch our video How to use BSL when contacting BT.

This free service is compatible with Windows and Mac OS.

Contact BT using British Sign Language

Follow the steps below to contact BT using British Sign Language (BSL). All you need to use the SignVideo Interpreting Service is a PC with Windows (or a Macbook), a webcam, and a broadband connection.

If this is your first time, you will need to download a one-off Live plug-in. The Live plug-in enables good video quality and ensures that your calls are secure. Don't worry, this is easy: just follow the instructions once you are connected to the Web Access page.

Step 1: Click on the following Sign Video BSL Live link (opens in new window)

Step 2: Connect to a SignVideo interpreter and tell them you are calling BT

Step 3: You will then be connected to a BT advisor

When is the service available?

Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.

If you have trouble connecting, please email or call 020 8463 1120.
