Other BT PLC sections

At BT we take accessibility very seriously and are always looking for ways to improve our corporate site. Over the past year we have worked to ensure that the majority of our site is compliant to both “A” & “AA” W3C guidelines.

Changing the browsers standard text size

If you have difficulty reading the text on the screen you can resize it as follows:

For Microsoft Internet Explorer

  • Open Internet Explorer and press the Alt key to display the menu bar.
  • Select View, and then select Text size.
  • Choose to make text larger or smaller than the size on the screen.

For Google Chrome

  • At the top-right, click More and then Settings.
  • Under Appearance next to Font size, click the Down arrow. Then select the font size that you want. You can also change more font options by clicking Customise fonts.

For Firefox

  • Press the Alt key to temporarily bring up the traditional Firefox menus. On the menu at the top, click View, then go to Zoom.
  • Select Zoom Text Only. This makes the controls only change the size of text; not images.

If you are using any other browser, check its "Help" facility to find out how to do it. There are also other options within your browser to help with accessibility e.g. changing text and background colours. Check your browsers help facility for instruction on how to use these functions.
