Skills for Tomorrow
Digital technology is transforming every element of the way we live. In a world where life and work increasingly depend on technology, digital skills can be the difference between getting ahead, or being left behind. The UK faces an alarming digital skills gap. Millions of people lack the essential digital skills they need. This risks making social divides wider and is having an estimated £63bn annual impact on the UK’s competitiveness.
BT’s Skills for Tomorrow programme aims to empower everyone with the digital skills they need today, to help build their tomorrow. It’s backed by a commitment to provide 10 million people across the UK with digital skills training by 2025, whatever their age and starting point. We’re partnering with other digital experts like the Good Things Foundation, Internet Matters, iDEA, LinkedIn Learning and Google Digital Garage to get tried and tested tools into the hands of those who need them most – including teachers, SMEs, working parents, young people seeking employment, and older people.
