Meet the team
Antoine de La Gardette
Antoine has been working in the telecommunications industry for 13 years, with the last 6 years at BT.
He currently heads up the Special Services engagement team where his role is to raise the awareness of the BT all IP programme and to minimise its impact on the special services industry. Prior to that, he held various product management positions in the BT Mobile team and at Vodafone Group.
Sodhi is an experienced Telecoms professional with over 20 years of wide-ranging experience within the industry. He has a background in electronics and data communications enabling him to be well suited to help drive BT’s transformation to all IP.
Graduating from Kingston University with a 2:1 BEng hons degree in Electronics and Business he started his career developing payphones to use smartcard technology for a cashless society, well before smartphones even existed! At BT he has worked in a variety of roles developing world class products and solutions for both consumer and enterprise customers.
Sodhi lives in Surrey with his wife and young daughter, loves the outdoors and is a keen cyclist and runner.
Phil has been with BT for more than 40 years. He’s worked in every division of the company more latterly in Consumer, Global Services and BT Business and has been lucky enough to work in over 15 countries for BT in Europe, Asia and America. Phil joined the Digital Voice Industry Engagement team earlier this year having spent six years with BT Redcare where he gained a deep knowledge of the special services world.
Away from work, Phil’s married and has a 13-year-old son. He loves his holidays and is Marketing Director for Liverpool Basketball where he’s also a level 2 coach (he still occasionally suits up for the veteran’s team too). Phil’s an early adopter of anything whizzy, if there’s a gadget to be had, he’s got it!
Ruth works in the Business & Public Sector unit of BT Enterprise. Her role in the all IP Programme is to spread the word about the withdrawal of fixed line telephone products in 2025 so that Special Services organisations can prepare and be ready to switch to All IP.
Ruth has worked for BT for more than 15 years and has extensive experience working on large scale BT programmes that focus on the evolving UK telecoms network. She gets a buzz out of seeing how evolving technology can make consumers and businesses lives easier.
