What you'll be doing

As an apprentice at BT you'll work alongside experienced colleagues to gain job specific skills, and you'll play an important part in shielding BT and our customers from the dangers of the internet.

You could be working in our Security Operation Centre, for Security Delivery teams supporting our external customers, or in more specialised teams in Solutions & Software.

During your apprenticeship you will attend your place of study for 2-5 days each month. You'll be expected to balance work responsibilities and academic studies, but you'll be fully supported by us along the way. And you'll be part of a community of new security professionals for networking, knowledge sharing, and team building purposes.

Our apprenticeships give you the chance to develop into a skilled professional in Cyber Security, and providing you meet all your objectives and milestones you'll have a guaranteed job with us at the end of it.

Entry requirements

Higher - You will need to achieve (or have achieved) an A-Level in ICT and five GCSEs A-C including Maths and English. Equivalent qualifications are accepted.

Full Degree - You will need to achieve (or have achieved) 3 A-Levels with a minimum of BBC grades, which must include a STEM subject at a minimum grade B. In addition you will need to have a minimum of 4 GCSE's at grade 4-9 (C or above) including English Language and Maths.

Application advice

Depending on the role you may be required to gain specific security clearances.

Please only apply to your first choice apprentice programme in a location that is accessible to you (as we can't cover relocation costs).
