Cyber programmes for schools
The cyber security skills gap continues to affect businesses. The industry body (ISC)2 estimates a global shortfall of 1.5 million workers by 2020. So we need to encourage more young people into this industry.
For the digital economy to remain secure in the years to come we need a succession of talented people to join our sector.
We know how important it is for young people to choose to develop their cyber security skills. So we're offering Secondary schools the opportunity for some of our security team to come in and run a lesson or assembly talk about this exciting subject.
If your school would be interested in learning more about this initiative please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also BT and Cyber Security Challenge UK have jointly developed 11 brand new cyber security lesson plans. These are designed to tie in with the Computer Science GCSEs currently being taught throughout the UK.
These plans, available free of charge for all teachers, provide structured ways of teaching the foundational concepts of cyber security to pupils. These lesson plans can be found here.
