BT is one of the signatories to both the residential and business versions of Ofcom’s Broadband Speed Code of Practice.
The residential Code was amended by Ofcom in June 2015, and came into effect on 1 October 2015.
The business Code was implemented on 30 September 2016 for the first time.
The codes govern the information we provide to customers regarding the speed they are likely to achieve when they contract with us for broadband service, and also what we do if the customer doesn’t receive the speeds we expected at the point of sale.
