In this issue of In Touch you can read about how Openreach is putting Leeds at the front of its ultrafast broadband rollout. Thousands of people living in parts of Leeds will be among the first in the country to benefit from a new ultrafast broadband network. And the Northern Lincs broadband partnership has announced a funding boost which means that more homes and businesses will get access to superfast broadband.
BT are also offering free work placements to help youngsters in the region get ‘work ready’, the three week courses, combine hands-on work experience with coaching and training. And finally BT has celebrated 80 years of the 999 service, of which more than 1.8 million calls a year are handled across Yorkshire & The Humber.
