We continue to make fibre broadband available to more homes and businesses and Openreach’s network now passes over 26 million premises. Over 100 Community Fibre Partnerships have now been signed and we have some great success stories to share, and more and more communities are contacting us to see how we can help them find a solution to enable them to get fibre broadband.
We have also published our latest Social Study 2016 – The Economic Impact of BT and EE in the UK. The report has received widespread media coverage and been welcomed by many of our stakeholders across the UK. It shows that the company contributes a massive £23.1 billion total GVA impact to the UK. The data is broken down into regions and nations and I would urge you to take a look if you haven’t had chance to yet.
You can also read about EE’s plans for the next phase of its 4G network, how BT has boosted connectivity for UK SME customers, a pioneering trial that could super-charge speeds and a new report showing the potential of ICT helping climate change. These are just some of the stories featured. Don’t forget to visit the regional pages to see what’s been happening in your area.
I hope you find this issue useful and informative.
