In this issue of In Touch you can read about how BT is helping the digital transformation of a London borough and an ultrafast pilot area in the capital. At the BT Tower we reaffirmed our commitment to the Armed forces. BT has also announced the creation of new apprenticeship and graduate jobs in London in its drive to equip young people with the skills and training needed to meet the challenges of a changing jobs market. You can read about our national apprentice winner and how BT employees had been helping students prepare for work. We also feature a panel session which Clive Selley, Chief Executive, Openreach took part in at University College London.
And as featured in the National News our Barefoot Computing programme has now reached one million children, including more than 74,000 in London, it’s a great project that helps primary school teachers get confident with teaching computer science.
