16 March 2017
Red Nose Day is back on the 24 of March and once again we’ll be supporting this great cause with employee fundraising and volunteering. From bake sales to sponsored walks to painting the town red, our people will be making their laughs matter to raise as much money as possible. Our employees will also be helping to raise awareness amongst friends and family about the work of Comic Relief, the charity that organise Red Nose Day. Across the country, we’ll have employees volunteering in eight call centres, taking donations over the phone on the night of the event.
Our MyDonate fundraising platform will be the donation platform for the call centres as well as processing the donations made via the automated telephone platform. We’re also providing the contingency platform for donations made online.
We’ve been supporters of Comic Relief since 1985, when Comic Relief was born. In 32 years of partnership, we’ve supported Comic Relief with sponsored celebrity challenges, our MyDonate fundraising platform as well as employee volunteering and fundraising. We also run The Supporters' Club which makes grants to Comic Relief for ‘Sports for Change’ programmes with the generous donations of our BT Sport customers.
Comic Relief aims to create a just world, free from poverty in which everybody is safe, healthy, educated and empowered. The money raised from Red Nose Day has helped, and is helping, people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world. Tune in to the BBC at 7pm on the 24 March to enjoy a night of comedy and entertainment with all money raised being used to change countless lives, both here in the UK and across Africa.
