We’ve helped deliver another successful BBC Children in Need.
During the live show, we handled more than 152,000 calls at 56 call centres, peaking at 292 per second.
Hundreds of our volunteers took calls at our centres – the BT Tower in London, Gosforth, Glasgow, Warrington and Lincoln. And BT MyDonate for telethons and appeals powered call centre and online transactions.
Children in Need inspired employees who baked cakes, or dressed up as storm troopers, Pudsey or Blush. Pudsey stickers also appeared on more than 2,000 Openreach and Technology, Service & Operations vans.
The result? A final on-air total of more than £46m.
Our volunteering highlights included an epic cycle ride and hike across the UK, raising more than £60,000.
Our Business and Public Sector walking team, braved the weather to complete the gruelling 87-mile trek from Newcastle to Bowness-on-Solway.
And a 60-strong team of cyclists completed a three-day, 170-mile ride from Solihull to Bolton.
