BT has played host to one of the biggest events in the innovation and start-up calendar - the UKBAA (UK Business Angels Association) Investment Summit
The UK BAA is the national trade association representing angel and early stage investment in the UK.
It represents and connects all those involved in the angel investment market. These include early stage venture capital funds, banks, policy makers and academics.
Held at BT Centre in July, the summit was an opportunity for those in the industry to meet some of the leading players and investors driving innovation and change in the start-up industry.
BT Infinity Lab, Director Operations, Breakthrough Innovation, Will Pryke organised BT’s participation at the event:
Explained Will: “We’re always keen to build closer links with the UK investment community and hosting the summit was a chance for us to highlight the attributes and successes of the BT Infinity Lab programme, which provides a front door to our engagement with entrepreneurs and start-ups.”
Will also ran a panel discussion on opportunities around the Internet of Things while BT Futurologist Nicola Millard gave a presentation on the future of work.
