Why join us?
We’ve been connecting people for over 150 years, bringing fast and reliable communications to homes and businesses across the world.
Join our contact centre team and you’ll be part of that story, helping our customers access the technology that makes their lives simpler and more enjoyable.
We’ll give you everything you need to be an expert in what we offer. You’ll learn how to have brilliant conversations with our customers and leave them happy with the service that you’ve provided.
Our products make modern life happen. We give people access to education and entertainment, and connect communities to vital services. We’ve always led the way in innovation in our industry – from the first electric telegraph to the next generation of super-fast broadband – and we’ve got big plans for the future too. We’ve entered new markets – like mobile, TV and HD sports. So join BT and you’ll be part of this new chapter, taking exciting new technology to people all over the country.
Our technology is nothing without the best people behind it. Our customers depend on us to provide them with the products they need, and to explain them in a way that’s easy to understand. Everyone in our contact centres is pivotal to what we do, helping our customers get the products and services that they deserve.
We offer great pay and benefits. You’ll receive a generous rate of pay (plus variable commission in both sales and service roles), pension contributions, up to 5 weeks comprehensive induction training, paid time off and discounts on BT Mobile, broadband and TV. We also have a great range of optional benefits including childcare vouchers, health and dental care plus discounts for your local gym and much more.
Diversity & inclusion
At BT we know it’s crucial that our people reflect the diversity of the people and communities that we serve. It’s this variety of experience, culture and background that helps us provide our customers with the products and services which make a difference to their lives. We believe that doing whatever we can to make our people feel valued and included is essential to unlocking their potential.
We work closely with industry-leading partners such as the Business Disability Forum, and we’ve seen some of our innovations – like our Disability and Carers Passports, which help our people move around BT – adopted by other companies. We’re also committed to making working conditions better for pregnant women and new mums; and are a founding partner of the Working Forward campaign, which has showcased our Maternity Handbook as best practice.
BT is a place where we value difference and strive to make a great working environment for everyone. Find out more about diversity and inclusion at BT.
BT’s awards cabinet is full to the brim, and it’s all thanks to our contact centre teams. In the last year alone, we’ve received trophies from the UK Customer Experience Awards, the Mobile Industry Awards, the European Contact Centre and Customer Service Awards and many more. It’s always a happy moment when we’re recognised for our hard work, and we make sure our teams are commended for their efforts, too.
Making a difference
We’re big on helping others. Last year 55% of us volunteered our time to volunteer and our activities included everything from donating to local foodbanks to wrapping presents for young people. Our contact centres also handle all the calls for some of the biggest nationwide fundraising events and our Advisors man the phones for the likes of Comic Relief, Stand up to cancer and Children in Need.
