BT North East Asia is comprised of three major powerhouses - Hong Kong, South Korea, and China. With Hong Kong serving as the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa headquarters, the North East Asia region holds great significance for our organisation.
We’ve been serving our customers with communications solutions for 30 years. With global economic activity shifting from the west to the east, we’ve matched this shift by expanding our portfolio, people, and premises in the region. Traditionally, we’ve been utilising our global capability to serve well-known MNCs as they expand into Asia.
Lately, we’ve been seeing great potential with the MNCs emerging from within Asia. These are valued opportunities for us, all of which makes us very optimistic and excited about the prospects of BT in North East Asia.

This is a huge and diversified market undergoing a significant transformation. It’s rapidly moving away from the traditional image of a low cost manufacturing base to one driven by luxury brands, innovation, increasing front office functions, and the emergence of high value players.
As we see more and more MNCs expanding into China, we’re adapting how we operate to better serve our customers. We’ve invested in our portfolio, as well as our people, making sure we have unique sector expertise in place cover specific needs of our customers.

- We have around 320 people dedicated to helping large multinational organizations to expand globally and within China.
- We understand the importance of being close to our customers with four offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian and Shenzen.
- We have network presence in over 330 cities around China, working closely with local partners China Unicom, China Telecom and CPCNet.
- China is one of the most important sources of technology innovation and cost-effective supply. Huawei is one of our suppliers, GNet is our local partner for conferencing service, and we have formed an advanced ICT Lab with Tsing Hua University.
In 2007, we opened our Dalian Technology and Service Centre, providing round-the-clock multi-lingual support to our customers in China, Korea, and Japan.
In the same year, we also established a China Research Centre in Shanghai - subsequently moved to Beijing - which explores and develops the latest technologies for our customers through collaborations with leading Chinese universities including Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University. We have two customer innovation showcases in Beijing, and Shanghai - allowing our customers to experience our technology first hand.
Our customers in China are multi-national organizations with pan-Asian or global networked IT requirements such as P&G, Novartis, InBev, Mars, Unilever, Reuters, Nestlé, PepsiCo. We also serve many Chinese corporations with pan-Asian or global IT requirements, such as Huawei, Air China, China Shipping, SinoPec, ZTE and Haier.
We have around 200 people dedicated to helping large multinational organizations expand into Asia-Pacific and Asian multinationals grow globally.
We have two offices in Hong Kong, both on the island, offerering a broad portfolio of services, underpinned with a unique breath of scope, reach and capability to help customers develop complex and transformational IT solutions.
We work with an extensive network of valuable partners including, Wharf T&T, PCCW, HK Broadband and Hutchison Global Communications.
We have some key accreditations in the industry – including Avaya Platinum and Cisco and Microsoft Gold partnership statuses. This means that customers have access to the best people, with the right skills, in the latest technology.
We’re recognised by Gartner as a leader in both the Global and Asia Pacific Network Service Provider Reports. We’ve also been recognised as a leader in the IDC MarketScape for Telecom Services in Asia Pacific for six consecutive years.
We’ve won The Best Managed Services Provider at the Telecom Asia Awards in 2015 again. This is the fifth time we’ve won this prestigious regional award.
